Wicked 5-String Quilted Maple/Padauk Bass
This Wicked B5Q bass is a real beauty. It's a semi-hollow body 5-string with a super sound. The two Bartolini soapbar pickups combined with the Bartolini active electronics and the semi-hollow body give this bass that killer sound you've always wanted in a bass.
The body is comprised of gorgeous pieces of matching local Quilted Maple on the front and back that have been hand carved. The binding body layer is African Padauk. The body core is Mahogany. The neck is made of African Padauk with Maple laminations. The fretboard is Pau Ferro.
The neck on this bass is graphite reinforced with a double expanding truss rod that has an accessible spoke adjust at the heel of the neck. The neck feels thin for a 5-string.
